Fooey!! (Clayton and Carl-Robert)

It turns out that we aren't exactly going to get to play a full set-list at the school. We're really only allowed three songs. Apparently it's fortahe "life skillz allstars" some group of kids who learned about the dangers of drugs and alchohol. Drugs are bad! Anyway, Clayton's dad made an amazingly awesome bass drum with Mind the Gap spray-painted on it. Because of this we probably won't be the main focus of the crowd, but it's an oppurtunity anyway. Oh well, punk at a public school is pretty radical anyway~

Vote for your favorite band!

There are only six more days to vote for your favorite band. If you haven't noticed there is a poll booth on the right side of the blog. In this poll booth you can vote for your favorite band. The 2 leading bands are The Clash and Sex Pistols [both have 4 votes]. The Buzzcocks are at 2nd place with 3 votes. Poor old Mind The Gap is 3rd place with 1 vote.

Craigslist (Clayton)

Walter (our sound engineer extrodinare) found this awsome deal for a full PA system on Craigslist for $400! The PA system is: 4 very loud 150 watt. monitors [huge speakers], a mixer, and a double sided amp. If all that was new that would all cost about $1500! It was also great because the guy [I think his name was Eddy] lived in massachusetts an hour drive away. Carl-Robert, Liam, Carl-Robert's Dad and I got in the car and drove to the guys place. When we got there we had extra time and there was a Newbury Comics in town. After that we found the guys house. He showed us how to work the thing and we carried it to the car. He didn't included the XLR cables which we needed. Lucky for us there was Daddy's Junky Music and Guitar Center in town [we went to Daddy's]. The Stupid Cables Cost $160!! THATS PRACTICALLY 100S OF BUCKS MORE THAN ALL THE FOUR MONITORS!! PLUS THESE WERE THE CHEAP CABLES!! We got back to his house and left all the stuff there so we could go see Shine a Light in IMAX. I highly recomend it. The next morning we set the mixers up with the help of Walter. Liam and I left when the problems started.

Oh...Yeah.... [Clayton]

I guess we have forgotten to post some important things that have gone on in the last couple of days. Weird huh! Anyways... Steve quit the band permanently. Which is a great weight taken off our sholders because he really didn't do all that much as manager. Whatever... not my problem. OHHHH YYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAHH!!! I forgot the most suprising news....... WE CHANGED THE NAME BACK TO MIND THE GAP!!!!!! I'm sooooo happy! It really is a better name than Pseudo [it sounds Jappenese]. So we decided that we would screw the dance band with the same name. ANARCHY!!!!! YEEAAHH!!! But the Pseudo phase wasn't all negative. It was our bands most MONDO creative phase. We came up with the band colors, logos, and our most well put together songs. Okay Bye. "Yo Flava Flav Boyyyyeeeee!!"

150 Profile Views, YAY!

This is clayton just posting to say... We've reached 150 Profile Views. And I would just like to say how happy I am that we are keeping all of you interested.

2.Lazy Bones
3.About that Time
4.California Burns
5.Crutches and Converse
6.Feed on Inspiration
7.Magic Potion
8.Thump Along
9.Into the Forrest
10.Smells like Teen Spirit [Nivana Cover]

-By the way there is only one set list. We don't have time to take a break.

It's Official

The person in charge of the Nock middle school gig finally gave us the actual date. The gig is on the very first week of May. That means that it would make sense to go to Daddy's Junky Music™ or Guitar Center™ soon to get the mixer and some new drum heads. On the week of the gig we are going to practice a solid hour every day and then at the exact day of the gig (which we aren't totally clear on yet) we'll practice for a long time. An awesome to sets (each with 5 songs) set list has been made. Rock On

Skeptical Thinking (Carl-Robert)

Recently, my mom's friend's friend said something about how it supposedly isn't safe to post music on your myspace or blog. I was really skeptical about this. What music producer would want to take a bunch of kids crappily recorded music?! All that really matters is that we manage to get out there. I recorded an acoustic instrumental and tried to put it on myspace but it said the file (which I recorded on garage band before exporting to iTunes) was too big. Does anybody know how to make an mp3 file smaller? Please comment.
